This Friday 22nd March, we are back upstairs at Madocke with a line up of the best comedians from around Australia and internationally at one of the Gold Coast's newest and coolest breweries. Belgian beers, big laughs and the perfect way to knock-off for the week every Friday night.

Join us for another instalment of the best comedy in Ashmore this week because we have a very special guest coming all the way here to headline for one night only. Tom Walker Good Comedian is one of the country's most side-splitting comedians and is taking a night out from his huge GC Laughs Festival run to come and show us why he's one of the most beloved and in-demand performers working today. Joining him to host the show is absolute legend of QLD stand up and radio Kat Davidson to warm us up and introduce our amazing support acts for the evening. We can't wait to see you there.

Tom Walker is a performer, writer, improviser and clown. In 2016, Tom took out the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer Award with his show Beep Boop as well as Director’s Choice for Zanzoop as part of Feeble Minds. Both shows went on to tour nationally across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, then further to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Soho Theatre in London. His follow up show in 2017, the inadvisably named Bee Boo also toured Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Edinburgh, and earned Tom a Barry nomination for Best Show at Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Bee Boo was also recorded as part of ABC2’s Comedy Next Gen. 2018 saw Tom performing his live show Honk Honk Honk Honk Honk “weird as hell, and funnier still” (Fest Mag) across Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Edinburgh and London. Tom was as a main ensemble member of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Australia for Foxtel’s Comedy Channel, which also aired to audiences on Network Ten. Tom also made guest appearances on Aaron Chen Tonight on the ABC. He recently filmed a couple of roles in the local Australian series of Drunk History, which can currently be viewed on 10play. In 2020, Tom’s latest comedy show Tom Walker Is Tim Walter played Adelaide Fringe. Tom can be heard co-hosting the hilarious podcast bigsofttitty.png alongside Demi Lardner.

Seeing Kat on stage is like visiting an old friend you haven't met yet. She's shared the stage with the world's best comics (Stephen K Amos, Steven Wright, Dave Hughes to shamelessly name drop a few), tamed a shed full of drunk miners, kept a 17 year marriage off the rocks and is currently being parented by her five year old. She tackles relationships, observations and random events with equal passion and her unique storytelling ability takes her audience along with her for the ride. Kat has been a professional improviser since 1993, hosted Gala Events and worked a crowd from the back of a cattle truck. She can be heard regularly across Queensland ABC radio and has headlined the best clubs in Australia and Canada. She is also the co-producer of the highly successful Ladies Comedy Nights in Brisbane and enjoyed sell out seasons of her original show Untidy at the 2012 Brisbane Comedy Festival and husband and wife co-production He Said, She Said (with husband Stav Davidson) at Wonderland Festival and venues around Brisbane since 2016.

Choose from an award winning line up of beers from Australia's Champion Small Independent Brewery and enjoy pizza and Italian desserts from our on-site partnership kitchen with Double Zero Ashmore.

The main taproom downstairs will be open and it is recommended to call ahead and reserve a table if you wish to come in for pre-drinks.

Pizza is available from our on-site kitchen in partnership with Double Zero.

Alongside our range of award winning beers we also serve QLD wines, artisan spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.

While our main taproom is wheelchair accessible, our upstairs and function room where Comedy is held is not. If you require assistance please call in advance as we may be able to accommodate some accessibility requests.
